New Ownership Structure at IntelliFinder Paves the Way for International Growth

IntelliFinder A/S is implementing a new ownership structure, with Jesper Refning acquiring one-third of the company as a new strategic partner. At the same time, the newly established IntelliFinder Invest will also purchase one-third, providing strong financial backing for IntelliFinder. The remaining third will continue to be held by the original owner, Michael Kørschen, ensuring stability and continuity in the company’s development.

IntelliFinder, a leading Danish SaaS company specialising in location-based management of tasks, documentation, and field resources, is undergoing a new ownership restructuring. Jesper Refning and IntelliFinder Invest are joining the ownership circle, while the original owner, Michael Kørschen, retains one-third of the company’s shares.

“I am proud of the board’s focused growth strategy, which was initiated in 2023. This has now led to a new milestone, where we welcome a strategic investment partner and an investor group whose international and commercial experience will strengthen both the board and the daily operations of IntelliFinder A/S and IntelliFinder GmbH. I am pleased that Mikkel Robin Nielsen, as CEO of the IntelliFinder A/S Group, will now have the support of an even stronger board,” says Michael Kørschen, co-owner of IntelliFinder A/S and CEO of IntelliFinder GmbH.

Jesper Refning is buying into the company, acquiring one-third of the shares, which were previously 100% owned by Michael Kørschen. Jesper brings extensive experience from the technology and software industries, having previously exited Daxiomatic to the Dutch IT group Fellowmind. He will be a key strategic partner for IntelliFinder.

“What attracted me is that there is a purpose and a greater meaning to what we do. IntelliFinder addresses a critical challenge by tackling the shortage of human resources in essential infrastructure projects, whether it’s the implementation of broadband, antenna networks, solar power installations, or something entirely different. By ensuring the right people are in the right place at the right time, we contribute to the efficient delivery of vital projects that benefit all of us. It’s not just commercially meaningful – it’s also a tangible way to save thousands of man-hours and optimise our resources for the good of society,” says Jesper Refning, new co-owner of IntelliFinder A/S.

IntelliFinder Invest is a newly established investment company, which, like Jesper Refning, is also buying into the company, acquiring one-third of the shares. IntelliFinder Invest will provide financial backing for IntelliFinder A/S to ensure the successful realisation of the company’s future growth journey.

“For the past two years, IntelliFinder has been on a journey where we have developed a stable product that creates value for our customers and is scalable. At the same time, we have built a strong organisation geared for growth. Our first international customers have confirmed that the time is right to scale the company globally. To support this journey, we have now established the financial foundation necessary to continue our development. This is an incredibly positive milestone, and I look forward to being part of this journey,” says Michael Wilkens, Chairman of the Board at IntelliFinder A/S.

In recent years, IntelliFinder A/S has undergone significant commercial development with the aim of making an impact on the international stage. Jesper also sees great potential for IntelliFinder to become an international success.

“During my due diligence, I also drew on my background as a former programmer, and it’s clear that IntelliFinder’s software is top-class by all industry standards. It is scalable, both for individual customers and as a business, and built to operate globally with high security. The foundation is set for IntelliFinder to be recognised as a market-leading software provider and to become the de facto standard in the industry,” says Jesper Refning, co-owner of IntelliFinder A/S.

IntelliFinder began its international growth journey earlier this year with the establishment of the German company IntelliFinder GmbH, led by co-owner Michael Kørschen.

“I can now focus on making IntelliFinder GmbH a key player in SaaS software for critical infrastructure in Germany. Since I took over the company in 2022, my vision has been to develop it into a professional and growth-oriented organisation, grounded in our solid industrial and technical expertise. The product is strong, the market is vast, and the demand is clear. Therefore, it has been crucial to bring strategic investors on board to ensure a solid foundation for our growth. Having the right chemistry and shared values has been personally important to me. I am proud and look forward to what we can achieve together,” says Michael Kørschen.

The right chemistry and shared values are already evident, as Jesper Refning shares the rest of IntelliFinder’s perspective on the competitive landscape.

“We’re not here to push anyone off the field, but rather to cultivate it alongside other major systems. No one is doing exactly what we do, but we exist within an ecosystem of significant, essential systems that we can integrate with, to become a key contributor alongside others,” says Jesper Refning.

Jesper Refning and Thomas Juhl are joining the board of IntelliFinder A/S as new members. Thomas Juhl, representing IntelliFinder Invest, will take over from Mikkel R. Nielsen, who will continue to represent the company in his role as CEO.

The current board now consists of Chairman Michael Wilkens, along with board members Michael Kørschen, Oliver Beck, Jesper Refning, and Thomas Juhl.

Earlier this year, Mikkel R. Nielsen was appointed CEO of IntelliFinder A/S, having previously served as COO and CTO, where he played a crucial role in ensuring the scalability of the software. He describes it as “an important step in the development of the business” and is both proud and honoured by the responsibility entrusted to him and the team with the addition of investors on board.

“This is an important step in the development of the business. The new ownership structure allows us to focus even more on sales and creating structure within our operations. We are moving away from being a typical start-up and, with this backing, can now professionalise the business. That said, this also comes with great responsibility. We are transitioning from having an owner actively involved in daily operations to being a company with investors, where we must now also consider protecting and nurturing their investment. It’s a significant step for IntelliFinder – for both the company and its employees. I am proud and honoured by the responsibility we’ve been given, and I look forward with great anticipation to helping lift IntelliFinder to the next level,” says Mikkel R. Nielsen.

The changed ownership structure will have no impact on employees, customers, or partners.
